Accessibility Statement
Last updated: November 2, 2026
I want this site to work for everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or a phone. Third Hand AI aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, and I'm working toward that. I haven't had an outside audit, so I can't say the site meets every part of it.
This page is about this website. The Accessibility page in the menu is about the accessibility service I offer to clients.
What I'm doing
- Each page has one main heading, and the headings after it go in order.
- You can reach every link, button, menu item and form field with the Tab key. There is a skip link at the top of each page, and the spot you're on is always outlined.
- Text colors are checked against 4.5:1, or 3:1 for large text.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the page animations and fades are turned off.
- Images have alt text, form fields have labels, and error messages say what's wrong in words.
- The page language is set, and links say where they go.
What I tested and how
I last tested on November 2, 2026. The pages were Home, About, Services, Portfolio, AI Automation, Social Media, Accessibility, Book & Quote, Why Us and Contact, the three industry pages, the blog and its three posts. I looked at each one at phone width (390px) and desktop width (1440px).
- An automated checker (axe-core) on every page.
- My own measurement of text contrast on every page, because the automated checker can't always settle that on its own.
- Tabbing through every page by keyboard, including the phone menu, the chat assistant, the cookie banner, the quote bar and the contact form.
- A reduced motion check, a high contrast (forced colors) check and a check of tap target sizes on a phone.
I did not test with a screen reader, on real phones, with voice control or at high zoom levels. Pages outside the list above were not part of this round.
Known limitations
These are the things I found that are still not right as of November 2, 2026.
- A few soft background animations loop with no pause button: a glow and a slow drift on the Home page, a shimmer on Services and a pulsing dot on AI Automation. They stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Links inside sentences are the height of the text, so they are smaller than 44px on a phone. Buttons and standalone links are at least 44px.
- On a first visit, the cookie banner comes before the skip link in Tab order.
- The automated checker flags the skip link for sitting outside a page landmark. That's a best-practice note, not a WCAG rule.
- I haven't tested with screen readers, so I can't tell you how it sounds with one.
Report a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, tell me through the contact page. Say which page it was, what you were trying to do and what got in the way. I'll try to respond promptly and fix what I can.
